BCNU Convention 2024
The annual convention of the BC Nurses' Union will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver, located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples, from May 28 - 30, 2024.
Convention Charity of Choice: BC Epilepsy Society
This year, the convention host region, Shaughnessy Heights, has selected the BC Epilepsy Society (BCES) as the charity of choice. BCNU is kicking off the fundraising efforts with a $2,500 donation. Convention attendees and members are invited to contribute online between May 27 - June 7 through the BC Nurses’ Union Fund held at Vancouver Foundation, with all funds going to the BCES. Donations of $25 or more made online will be issued an electronic tax receipt.
The BC Epilepsy Society is dedicated to serving British Columbians living with epilepsy, and their families by providing support and resources through education, advocacy and creating a sense of community.
About Convention
BCNU hosts an annual convention each year. This is an opportunity for members to come together and discuss the business of the union. Delegates to convention are elected at regional meetings in advance of the convention date. Each region is assigned a specific number of delegates to attend.
